I cannot even fathom all of the good news that has come my way in the recent past.
1. I have always dreamed of assisting on a Habitat for Humanity build. I just thought I would never have the time to commit to it, or made excuses about it the entire time. However, looking at the Dane County group’s website, I found there is a current build going on just outside of town. That means, this Friday I’ll be helping build a house. I am beyond excited.
2. Tomorrow, I go in for an interview to be a Big Sister through Big Brothers, Big Sisters. I cannot wait to be a mentor for a child in the Madison area. Hope everything goes well.
3. I got my first EVER 4.0 this semester. I still am in shock that I finally pulled it off for the first time in my academic career.
4. I am leaving the US after graduation. While I love being a librarian, I love seeing the world more. I’ll be in a different country teaching English for a few months, then coming back to the United States to begin working/on the job market. We’ll see how this entire adventure works out.
I’ve been taking some time off this week, figuring these things out and relaxing. I’m off now to watch some Netflix, read a bit, and possibly nap until Sam is done with work.
