I’m back in Madison, thank goodness. Unfortunately, the city decided to bring 100 degree heat as a gift of my return. I am thankful for cooler weather later on this week, and to be able to spend some quality time outdoors this weekend. I’m hoping for a night on the Terrace, a Mallards game Friday evening, and a Brewers game this coming Sunday. Pretty fantastic weekend, I think.
I already start summer classes this Monday. I loved having a bit of a break and the ability to see Germany, but I cannot believe that classes are already here. I’m going to make the most of this upcoming week, for sure.
I am heading down to Mills for a bit today to start, and then I will have time this afternoon/evening to get groceries, do chores around the house (mop the floors), and wait to get the Internet reconnected at the apartment. (It’s best not to ask about that….)
I’ll be writing a full summary of the Germany experience, along with what I learned, in the next few days.
Funny enough, I just got back from a trip with SLIS, and I get an e-mail from SLIS today about the potential to go to India next Spring Break to see Mumbai’s archives and assist them with a service learning project. I’m not sure if I will go, but it is nice to have these travel opportunities in grad school.
