Twenty Five Goals for Twenty Five Months (Part Three)

I’ve expressed seventeen of my goals for the next twenty-five months, both for 2012 and 2013, but I have the far-reaching goals for 2014 to tell you about.  Fasten your seat belts, these are some of the craziest ideas I have ever had.

January 2014:  Run a marathon.  At Disney.

This is easily the most insane idea I may have ever thought of.  Honestly.  But, I truly want to showcase my strength and ability and I think the best way for me to do so is to run a marathon.  What better place than Walt Disney World with Mickey and Minnie cheering me on?  I cannot wait to run through the park, get a medal for accomplishing my goal, then taking a ride on Space Mountain.

February 2014:  Take a class.

There are many different ideas floating around right now.  Getting my teaching certification.  Getting my second Masters in educational administration.  Just taking a knitting class to be a better crafter.  Whatever I decide upon, I would like to continue educating myself for the rest of my life.  I’ve been out of school less than three months now, and it is breaking my heart that I have no class to look forward to.

March 2014:  Be a published writer.

My passion for writing has been more pronounced at this point in my life than ever before.  I hope to be published on an on-line magazine, website, newspaper, etc.  Just something substantial that I can be truly proud of.

April 2014:  Earn a professional award/raise.

I have worked hard for my entire life to be a great person, student, and employee.  At this point, I would like to be rewarded by an award, raise, or ribbon.  Really anything would suffice.  I understand this is a goal I will be working on daily, and I am excited to see what work I produce before this time!

May 2014:  Attend the Kentucky Derby.

This has been a goal of mine for years, but I only have a few more chances to attend before my Louisville friends will be moving out of the city.  Let’s hope I can make it in 2013 AND 2014!

June 2014:  Reduce student loans significantly.

I would ideally have one-quarter of my loans paid off, but I think having a significant chunk paid off would be a great help at this point in my life.

July 2014:  Travel to Europe.

Summer 2011 was when I fell in love with Germany, and I have been itching to go back and explore more of Europe every singe day.  I hope to travel to France and Italy next time, but I wouldn’t mind being back in Munich.
