I am in the midst of a full-blow application blitz.
In case you have been avoiding news outlets for the past half-decade or so, it has been increasingly more difficult to find jobs for anyone, even those with a Masters degree. So, I have been applying like a fiend, trying to find a job to fulfill my life’s mission and also pay the bills.
I am applying everywhere and anywhere. I’m just looking for something: a foot in the door, a starting point, or a way to live my life. All in all, I have sent out a total of 15 job applications, received a few rejections, and by far have received no contact from the potential employer. I still have a load of jobs to apply for, and I am hoping with each one that the perfect job comes along.
I am a firm believer in the facts that everything happens for a reason and what will be, will be. I know there is a reason some of the “dream jobs” I have applied to have not worked out, and all for various reasons. I’m just trying to be patient and be ready for when the perfect job finally comes my way.
Until then, I am sitting at my laptop, writing cover letters, filling out on-line applications, and hoping that my degree doesn’t go to waste.
