I’ve been having a fantastic day with SLIS. It is the day of orientation for the new graduate students, and I am so excited for the new class. I was really dreading classes for the fall, but meeting new people who are excited about classes, learning, and librarianship has rejuvenated my passion for the profession.
I know I am making a difference here at SLIS. I can feel it now, and I didn’t really feel important before. Helping students by giving them advice for good courses to take as well as getting involved and starting a new student group has been greatly beneficial. I really do hope the class of 2013 thrives here and enjoyes themselves.
The organization fair is about to begin, and once that ends…I am thrilled to enjoy the fajita bar from Pasqual’s for dinner. Yumm!
