Those Were the Best Days of My Life

It’s a quiet Monday night at work.  I’m mostly caught up in homework, which really means that I am planning on finishing the one-page paper I do have tomorrow morning.  Don’t worry, it’s not due until Thursday.

It’s been an easy adjustment back to classes from spring break.  Probably since I’ve been in Madison for the entire duration of Spring Break.  I’m jealous of those who got sun (like Sam), but am happy I got work done here, and don’t have awkward tan lines (like Sam).  At least I got a present from him being gone…a wonderfully fantastic spring training Brewers hat.  I’m waiting for a lazy day (probably Wednesday) to wear it doing errands and running to work.

I’m really ready for classes to be done at this point.  I need more excitement in my life, and summer is always good for that.  I’m also searching for something to do nights in Madison.  I wonder what kind of part time jobs are available for evenings only…

I’m getting pretty excited for the upcoming weeks.  I have a lot of excitement to be looking forward to before the semester ends.  Check it out:

3/26: Sigma Chi formal

4/2: Wedding #1 of the summer: Liz’s in Green Bay

4/10: Brewers/Cubs at Miller Park with Sam

4/17: Holiday celebration with my family

4/22: Brewers game with Sigma Chi

4/24: Brewers game with Sam and Matt

5/22: Leave for Germany!

It’s a mess-load of Brewers games, time with family, and other fun.  I’m looking forward to being able to relax more and have a year of graduate school under my belt.

I feel as though I’ve grown up a  lot recently and have been acting my age, even if it is twenty-three.  I’m doing things for myself, being a responsible young adult, and am happy to say that I have been taking care of myself for quite some time.  It’s been a great way to get to know myself as well as to watch myself grow up.  I don’t worry about the small and petty things in life, I have taken responsibility for my actions, and I have become proud of how strong I have become.  Not too shabby of a life, I think.

I work tonight until nine.  Pretty sure I’ll be off to Starbucks after to pick up a drink then head home to get some reading done.  Maybe it’ll be of the entertaining variety for once.
