It’s that time in the year where I have to already start thinking about next semester. And all as I am doing this, I am wondering where this current semester went. I’m on week ten — only five more weeks left to go! It’s been an interesting semester, that is for sure, but it has taught me so much about librarianship and myself. And I love it.
I’m debating between four courses next semester, which makes things difficult. I have to take 451, on reference, but I want to take 652 on metadata, and 722 on collegiate libraries. There is also a class in the education department about the history of higher education in america and europe…and I’m definitely taking that course. So we’ll see how things go in the next two weeks and get everything ready to go!
Tomorrow I have an early start to attend a Teaching Symposium at the Pyle Center. It should be informational, in the fact that it will describe the thesis/dissertation process and help me with figuring things out when I am ready to get on that. But I need to get through a few other semesters before I really get to the point where this is necessary.
I’ve just been nerding out a lot lately. And I’m liking it.
